Date Range with Partial Overlap - Is This Possible?

I'll apologize in advance that I'm new to Access.

I'm trying to return results in a query where dates within two fields fall within, or partially within, date parameters that the user is prompted for.

In other words. I have two fields: [Open Date] and [Closed Date]. The user will be prompted for [Fiscal Year Start] and [Fiscal Year End]. I'm hoping to return any entries for which its open/closed date range completely or partially falls within the fiscal year.

For example, if Fiscal Year is 2/1/10-1/31/11, the query should return both of the following entires: 1. Open Date: 3/1/10, Closed Date 12/1/10, and 2. Open Date: 11/1/09, Closed Date: 4/1/10

I'm at a loss for how to build this expression in the query. I would appreciate any help. Thanks!

When you generate the query set the critera as:

Close Date > Start of FY
Open Date < End of FY
