I have made a form that has 5 different date text box's on it, each box represents a different event. The form will completed for 100 people. I want to perform a search of records and preview a report of all the people that will be attending one of the events within the date range.
Thank you in advance for any help
Would Like the report to search a date range and return all employees who have selected events within that date range, if an employee has signed up for multiple events within the date range search i would expect to see there name appear multiple times.

Do you want to search on all 5 boxes or just on the value of those populated. for example if text 1 is populated, search on that. If text 1,2 and 3 are populated, search on those etc. Instead of using 5 text boxes, could you not use a combo box to select the event and then use that to fill in the date filters?

ps, hell of a username, It sure beats Seven of Nine off Voyager.

I don't think i can use a combo box as the record is linked to a Unique employee number and the events are vacation days. One employee can reserve multiple dates via the 5 different text boxs. Not Sure how to set up a combo box to accomplish multiple events under one unique employee number. Perhaps i would need to set up a seperate database with an auto id field and allow multiple records to be entered and then run a query on that data base to pull the vacation dates. Then i would lose the ability to calculate vacation totals unless i can perform calculations on a report?
With the Seperate texbox dates on the form i calculate these totals and i can call up any employee vacatoin record and edit it via the employee number / form.

Any advice

How are you storing the employee/vacation date. Are you using a single table with employee info and fields for each event eg Vacation1, Vacation2 etc or do you have separate tables for employee info and vacation info? To get the results it depends if you want an OR or AND statement in your query. ie have they requested Date1 OR Date2 or or have they requested Date1 AND Date2.

I've just noticed DavidR's reply to another post of yours along the same lines. I suggest you follow that thread rather than this one as he has given you the fundamental basics to start with.
