Dates and Combo boxes

Hello everyone/anyone:

I have two combo boxes; the first is a name for an individual, the second is for the month to which the records need to be pulled. I have the 12 months in a drop down menu.

I want to pull any records involving the person and the month. I am having trouble getting the month to be pulled out.

I have read this website and can not seem to find the right answer.

strFilter = "VolunteerID = " & strVolName & " and " & "Workdate = " & Format(strVolMonth, "MM")

Can anyone help? Thank you!

Am guessing here as haven't used filters, but string texts normaly need to be enclosed by single quotes:

strFilter = "VolunteerID = '" & strVolName & "' AND Workdate = #" & Format(strVolMonth, "MM") & "#"

Have thrown in the # as dates are usualy marked by #04/01/02#.

Sorry, Harry, that did not work either.

I get a syntax error with the # signs.
