Day of the Week

In the past (Access 97)I have used the expression
Day:Left(format([date],"long date"),3) to return the day of the week next to the date. example 4/01/02 = Monday. I been trying to use this expression in Access 2002 and it doesnt work, does anyone know an easier way to get my query to tell me what day of the week it is??? Please Help

Formatting a Date/Time field as dddd will achieve this aim.

Format([DateField],"dddd")

Also look into the DatePart function. And I hope [date] as a field was just an example, not an actual value. Name your fields more descriptively and you'll avoid conflicts with reserved keywords as well.
