I have an Excel spreadsheet that is 30 sheets that tracks sales and performance numbers for employees with charts, etc. and it is getting too big for me to handle so I am switching to Access--but I am an idiot on Access and this little round head can't visualize very well. Basically three groups of information: Forecast for the month/year; daily tracking; and monthly/annual numbers. The performance numbers may be in currency, numbers of units, sales per customer, etc. Unless I am in a fog, I can't find a sample database that fits. My thoughts were three tables:
EmplTable--salespeople
Categories (like CP Sales, W Sales, # of repair orders, # of menu packages sold, etc.)
Numbers--actual numbers that each salesperson did in each month/day/year
Should I or could I include MOnths/Year table to make it easier to enter data every month? Any samples that y'all might know of? Then I get to the relationship part--yowza--hurts my head.
Thanks for any suggestions. I have searched the forums, and any sample databases don't fit--wait, I mean I don't think they fit what I am looking for when actually they may fit and I just can't see it.
