DCount on report (1 Viewer)

I'm looking to use the DCount function on a report as the Control Source. I need to be able to have a count of Shop Orders within my Work Center group. For example, if I have a WC of 1001 and there are 12 SO's, I would like there to be a footer for the count total. Using the DCount becuase there can be multiple SO's with the same SO # (which would count as 1). Is this possible? Or should I use vba or a query for my results?

You could put a hidden textbox with the value of 1 in every SO# line and sum that?
