Hi all,

I am using Access 2007.

My problem is that I am no longer able to use the debug mode (F8) in Access. I have several databases and the same problem with all of them, although it worked perfectly fine for the last couple of months.

- It is no "Use Access Special Keys" issue, since this option is activated.
- The step through is not greyed out, but when I click it or when I press F8 nothing happens
- My Cursor is in the code when I try to step thorugh the code (I used it for months before)
- Because I have this problem in ALL databases I do not think, that there is a specific problem in the code itself.
- Debug Mode does work in Excel.

There must be some other genereal Setting which I have messed up. Any idea?

Do you need any further information?

Thank you,
Martin

Its not the db, it must be a bug in Access.
MINE will stop at non-existent breakpoints. (there USED to be one there, but no more)

I would try uninstalling, then reinstalling access. otherwise the bug remains.

@MartinRi

I'd try a repair install

@Ranman256

Phantom breakpoints are known and are due to a local corruption in the db and have nothing to do with the installation. Export the offending object to text, delete its current occurence, and import it.
