I have a find record combo box. When you click the drop down box, you select a name from the list. Sometimes, the names are listed more than once because there is more than one record for each name (some are active and some are inactive. For example, Jane Doe has two records. One is active and the other is not. When you select Jane Doe, I would like to have her active file be the default value. How do I code in the after update.
 
You can go into the combo box and create a Row Source Query. You can then use the query to limit the list to only display active names(e.g. Active=Yes). If both need to be listed you can instead do a Sort and sort by name first and then sort by active/inactive and the first name in the list will always be the active one.
