My Problem:
Create blank .mdb in Access 2000 SP-1 on NT Workstation with Service Pack 6.
Go to File / Get External Data / Link table / select ODBC datasource as
Visual FoxPro driver / select my foxpro .dbf file which is on the network
fileserver / linked table created. When I then open this linked table in
datasheet view, it appears with the data I expected but including a bunch of
records with #Deleted in the fields. The source table I am linking looks
okay in Visual FoxPro and there is no soft deletes and I have packed the
table anyway and rebuilt the single regular index.
Any ideas how to get my data back from these #Deleted records? I know for a fact this
behaviour doesn't happen under Access 97 where the native FoxPro driver is
available. Microsoft withdrew support for this driver under Access 2000
forcing me to use the Visual FoxPro driver.
Could this be a corrupt Jet Engine? The PC has Microsoft Data Access
Components v2.5
Any suggestions greatly appreciated!
