Deleted records still appear in combo box

I have a table that lists names. I've also set up cmd buttons to add new names, edit existing names, and delete names. Everything works great except for the Delete function.
The delete function works, as the record is deleted. But if I go and try to delete a second name, the combo box lists the remaining names plus "# Deleted" for the recently deleted record. If I quit Access and reopen it, the combo box lists only the remaining records like I want it to do.

Can anyone provide me a clue as to what is happening and a possible fix?

Me.ComboBoxName.Requery
