design issue

Greetings everyone...


I am wondering if any access guru is around to help me with my issue...

I am working on a database for our maintenance work... i am facing the following problem..


we perform maintenance works in defferent locations, and i already have the manucipality location names and distribution... what i need to do is to design the table in a way that matches with the area naming system as follows:


the area we cover is devided into regions and highways.

each region has sectors and main roads below it (as sub devisions)

and highways are staight names with no sub devisions..


I need to design the database in a way to enable the user/data entry specify the region then the sector then the name of the sector for example or if its a highway i need it to specify that it is a highway and then specify witch highway is it?

i need it in a systematic way because my boss will ask me later to pull out all maintenance work performed in a specific region, highway or sector !

I hope i could explain my prob. clearly
