I have a db that I use to keep track of all plant purchases year by year for my business. I apparently did not set it up right in the first place and when I try to convert it to a .cdb for use on my ppc, it errors out. I have 1 table that does not have a primary key. I have found ways to work around my poor table set up using queries and do not know how to fix what is wrong. It looks like I am going to have to correct the mistakes I made when I set the db up in order to use it on the ppc. I am looking for someone who would be willing to look at the db and tell me what I need to do to fix it. I do not have lots of time to try to figure it out myself, and my busy season is here. I also do want to start over if I dont have to because I have a lot of records entered and that would, again take too long. The file is up to 31 megs so I cant get small enough to attach. Any help would be appreciated.

LarryT,

I think you will find that most regular users of this site are all really busy people also.

From your description, you are aware that the fault lies in design. If you were to strip the data from the db (and irrelevant forms etc), compact and repair, and then zip, you should be able to post the db for others to assist you.

Whilst money talks, I think you will find that if you assist yourself by assisting others help you on the forum, you will get your results.

I look forward to seeing you db structure ;)

Cheers

Thanks Brad, I am fairly new to this stuff and I REALLY appreciate that you are willing to help. Attached is the striped file. Any further help will leave me further in your debt.

Sorry Larry I have been away for a while.

Easy to forget about work when laying on the beach :)

Did you have any luck with the conversion or are you still in need of help?

Brad, I attached the stripped file to a reply to your last post. I can see it but maybe it doesnt show for you. Any help you can give me w/ the design of this thing will be gratly appreciated. Thanks. I think I remember taking a vacation once, as a child w/ my parents...
