Hello,

I was just wondering if there are any differences in mde files created with Access 2000 and created with Access 2000 Developers Edition?

I have read the articles about licencing and limitations of runtime application and before opening my pocket for Developers Edition I want to make sure if it does the job. Therefore I tried to create an mde with Access and run it under Runtime. The mde file doesn't run. It opens the switchboard menu, but then says it can not regonise some function. Can I expect that if I create mde with the Developers Edition it will run smoothly, i.e. all the necessary functions will be included?

They were not able to answer these questions at my local software store.

Thanks.

You wouldnt create a mde form dev edition. You would just create a mde like normally, then put it in the dev packager.

So, do I understand it correctly, that mde file, prepared with Standard Access, can not physically run under Runtime?
