disable - hide quick access toolbar

hi
strange problem
i have split up my database and want to hide/disable the quick access toolbar. i can't find a command to do this ( i've ran the code DoCmd.ShowToolbar "Ribbon", acToolbarNo but the QAT still shows). the problem i have with this toolbar showing is that people have access to the access options which is a big no no.
anyone have any idea how to get rid of this toolbar?

but i have deselected the full ribbon view in the access options

i've already done some of the stuff like removing the ribbon name from the options - it still shows up on my database though

As previously mentioned, you will need to create a ribbon to get rid of the Quick Access Toolbar. No way around it.

I have created a custom ribbon for my application. The question still remains how do I hide the QAT - my users do not need it and my applications needs the screen "real estate" even though it is only 1 line in height.
