disable the new record option on a form

many apologies..

I know I have seen this answer on the forum before but have tried and failed to find it in the search.

I am sure there is a way to stop a form from showing the last record (i.e the last one which is blank where you add in a new record)

does anyone know the option to disable or the vbcode required?

In the form properties box under the data tab change the allow additions to 'No'.

Here are some of the "allow" commands using VBA...

Me.AllowAdditions = False 'this is the one you asked for
Me.AllowDeletions = False
Me.AllowEdits = False
Me.AllowFilters = False
