disappearing data - switchboard

Hi peeps. I created a switchboard that opens a form in add mode. I click the button to open the form, it appears, but with no data - its blank.

If I open the form by itself (not via switchboard) its all there.

Whats up?

I believe that the "add" mode is the same thing as the data entry mode which opens the form to a new record and does not allow the user to view the previous records. You need to decide how you want the form to be opened and what you want the user to be able to do within the form. Adjsut the forms data properties and/also adjut the switchboard command on how the form is opened to meet your needs.

One more thing -

Im confused about security. Here's what I'm aiming for:

- 3 groups - teachers, children, and admin.
- A password promt for each in the switchboard.

I tried making it so there are no toolbars, but now I can't use them!! How do I change this?

Also, if I can change this, whats stopping the teachers and children? (A password hopefully ??)
