% discount

hi,

this is the formula In my query
Unit price: [itemcost]*[exchangerate]
I would like it to also have the discount taken from it .
the field name is discount , but I am not sure how to put that into my query. it is a percentage discount

any help appreciated

add another expression in your qeuery:

DiscAmount: ([itemcost]*[exchangerate]) - ([itemcost]*[exchangerate]*[discount])

DiscAmount: ([itemcost]*[exchangerate]) - ([itemcost]*[exchangerate]*[discount])

another way of saying the same thing is
DiscAmount: ([itemcost]*[exchangerate]*(1-[discount]))
not better, just shorter.
