display excel in mailmerge

I have a currency data in excel and the format in the cell is
custom _($*#,##0.00) which display data like $23,056.00 or $23,560.20
but when I load this data into mailmerge it rounds it up and drop the last zero or 2 zeros. any help to display the real data without droping or round i up. $23,560.2 or $23,056

convert it to text before export?

I try that, I have turn the whole column into text. I guess that is the only option.
