Greetings,
I have a DB witha subform listing REQUESTS attached to a PERSON. Person is master record, Request is child record. There are many records to the child, one master. The subform is displayed in datasheet view. I want to be able to click on one of the child records in the subform and another form display below in form view of that one child record. I'm having difficulting figuring out how/where to begin to build it. Anyone have suggestions?

To do what you want, you can link the sub form in form view to the one in datasheet view.

I do it by setting the master linking field to reference a control in the other sub form.

To get the second sub form tro stay synced, you use the On Current event in the first subf orm (the one is datasheet view) to requery the second sub form.

Great thanks! I'll give it a whirl and post by questions and results!

I'm making progress, i have the subform linked to the main form. The subform displays the first record in the main form.
I've been trying to figure out the syntax to requery the subform
Here is what I have on the ON CURRENT event of the main form...its not working.

[Forms]![Participant]![Request Subform].[Form].Requery

Any suggestions?

If your main form is trying to requery a sub form on the parent then try this:

Code:
Me.[Request Subform].Form.Requery
