I inherited an Access 2000 db that tracks software.
Nothing too fancy. I added a few new fields and modified existing data. The db went live for people to use and now I have a lovely corrupt doc file.

It hangs Access and the only way to shut down is using task manager. (all sytems are Windows 2000)

When I hold "shift" and try and look in the back end the code window is blank.

Please....................tell me someone can save me! if not...atleast the database. I'm no Access guru, but apparently i know more then the rest of the nuts i work with.

Thanks in advance

More Info!

i've been trying like a bugger to bring this db back online.
I attempted a decompile.

The message I received was:
"the Visual Basic for Applications Project in the database is corrupt"

Please Any help or suggestions of where to look for help would be great.

Thanks again

Have you got all the service packs installed for all users?

All Service Packs are standardized

We use images to build workstations, so that all the systems are identical and all software service packs are the same.

I appreciate the help, but still searching.

It just appears that all the code in my db's backend is gone.

Very disheartening to say the least.

try importign everthing into a new DB

Resolved 1st Issue

I grabbed the db from our back up. I will now look at preventing it from happening again.

I did try and create a new db and import, but it had the same problem when it was importing the forms and reports.

I appreciate the link re: Access 2000 bug. I am enroute to read that right now.

Thanks a million, I can't stressed how much I have learned from the posts on this site.

hats off to all who contribute

cheers
