im trying to use a control source with-in a report to create the file name when exported

DoCmd.OutputTo acOutputReport, "rptMATRIX", "PDFFormat(*.pdf)", "D:\users\Stagehands\Dropbox\stagehand payroll\billing\" & Report![rptMATRIX]![eventname]!Value & ".pdf", False, "", , acExportQualityPrint

What is the question?

This part of the code -& Report![rptMATRIX]![eventname]!Value & ".pdf", is not making the control source the file name. i was wondering if anyone had a suggestion to change the code in any way
