Drop combo box newbie question

I want to type in the values in my drop down combobox.

lets say i type values

2/14/08 Went to the Park
3/14/08 Went to the Zoo
5/15/09 Went to Vacation

I just want 5/15/09 Went to Vacation to be displayed while i hit the
down arrow in the combo box 2/14/08 and 3/14/08 will be displayed

I also need it to correspond to the ID - so the next record i input wont show the 2/14/08, 3/14/08, 5/15/09...
The combobox will give me completely new values to enter just for that ID
