Drop down lists referencing each other

Hi I'm new here.
I have basic knowledge of excel and i need assistance with a problem please. I have created a drop down list which references another worksheet. I have it working fine and have copied it down to cells below referencing the same worksheet. They all work fine but when i select something of the list it applies that to all the cells I have copied the drop down list to. I thought it was because I had copied and pasted but I have tried creating new drop down lists referencing the same worksheet but the same thing happens. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I'm sure it's very basic, apologies for my lack of experience.

Howdy, Jamie, and welcome to the board.

How did you make the drop downs? Data Validation? Forms combo box? Control toolbox combo box?

If it is Data Validation it shouldn't cause that. Can you post a small sample?
