Hello,

I have formA linked to a tableA. When looking at a specific "recordA", I want to create a button that would create a new "recordB" with exactly the same information as in "recordA". Later on, a little part of the information in "recordB" will be modified.

I want this to be done, so if a client calls me in 2007 and I give him a quote, and then he calls me again in 2008 for the same job but with some minor modifications, I wouldn't have to enter all the information again from 2007 in the new quote (2008). I would only have to modify little information (but I want that to be a new 2008 quote)

Thank you very much
PS: the "DuplicateRecord" btn is not working for me.

If the record you are trying to duplicate has a primary key, you cannot truly duplicate it. You can create a new record and copy the fields EXCEPT for the PK.

Yes, well, that's pretty obvious. So, does anyone know if there's a built-in way of doing that (like via the DoCmd.)? Thx
