Hello,
So I have a simple question, if it can be done easily then please tell me how, if it cannot then fine.

On any access form there is a Navigation Bar that tells you which record you're on out of how many records are in the table or query, a filter option AND THEN a search bar.
The search bar is cool becuase it instantly searches everything in my query instantly. It doesn't stick to one value either.

The only issue I have is how small it is and I'd rather have it on my form so it is tabbed to first. Is there a way to create that exact search function on a text box? Any input is appreciated, thank you.

search this forum, there must be an answer to your problem

there are often alternative ways to do things - but reinventing the wheel is often not such a good idea

do you just want one button that goes to the first record? - or other functionality - just doing the first isnt too hard, but redoing everything gets quite complicated.

As an alternative, have you tried using a continuous form - try to get the forms details section as narrow as possible - with all the fields in a horizontal row, and change the form type to continuous.

as a matter of fact, i use continuous forms far more than single forms, purely because they are easier to navigate, and more useful to the user, imo
