I am building a form that will track all employee safety training. I am having a serious dilemma as far as being able to duplicate a date without having to manually enter it in each field. Let me explain further as I know duplicating data is a "No No"

I have several classes that are rolled into what we consider our New Hire Orientation class. With that I must track certain sections for renewal and reporting purposes. So On the initial entry of the training I would like to take the date I enter under New Hire Orientation and roll it down into, lets say, First Aid training, CPR training, BBP Training and PPE Awareness. Can anyone help to understand to how to make this work. :banghead: I have tried everything I can think of.

Can you provide any screenshots along with explanations? Relationships?
You can of course copy over data from one form to another but without knowing more of your design and needs it is hard to advise.
You could use a combobox as a selection for the destination and then run code to append the data and so as not to duplicate, delete the original data. Just a thought.

Here is the form I am trying to duplicate dates. Some of theses training classes need to have the dates the same as the New Hire Orientation Date. They will be modified as time goes on because some of these classes have to be taken annually others will never change. The Field labeled New Hire Orientation needs to be the same as SJB Contractor and a few others. If I can get help on that I can figure out the rest.

I did not download you file but here is an example: Of course change to suit your needs.

PHP:
DoCmd.Hourglass True
    DoCmd.SetWarnings False

    DoCmd.RunSQL "UPDATE tblSomeTable SET tblSomeTable.SomeDate = Me.MyDate " & _
                 "WHERE (((tblSomeTable.PrimaryKey)='" & Me.PrimaryKey.Value & "'));"

    DoCmd.SetWarnings True
    DoCmd.Hourglass False
