Enabling "Can Grow" does not show all

I have a report based on a query that is linked to an SQL database. One of the fields normally contains a lot of text so I set the properties of the report field to "Can Grow". Problem is, it only grows some and never grows to include all the text. I looked at the query and it is showing all the text, so the problem is in the report. Any ideas how to fix this problem. I have my field normal size set to one line, but in Properties I have selected "Can Grow".

Have you also set the detail section's CAN GROW property to yes?

Hi Jim,
did you find the solution to your problem? I have also got the same problem and have the can grow property in both the text box and details section enabled. This is posing huge problems as I am not able to print the full text in the field. Please forward the solution if you have got.

Hi,
I am responding to this as I also have the same problem. I have set the 'can grow' property of text box as well as details section to 'yes' and even tried to print the memo field from the table itself, but the result is the same. The number of characters printed also seem to be random as the printing in the report does not go to the end of the last line of the text box. One more interesting thing, I have printed a whole page in one memo text field in the same report and it prints just fine without any truncation.

I still have this problem. Both the field and the Details section is set to "can grow".

Any help is appreciated.

Only thing I can suggest is you post the database along with a description of where to look and we can see if we can spot the problem that way.
