Enter date for only records that change

We have a field that should get the current date only if record is changed. The date field is called "change".

We tried the following in Field Properties - After UpDate. No go.
2010Master![change]=Date()

2010Master![change]=Date()

I would think it would be some kind of an event.

Try the Form's On Dirty event and use;

Me.Change = Date()

On Dirty? I have Click - DBL Click - On Mouse Down - On Mouse Up - On Mouse Move - On Paint. I'm using Access 2007. Is "On Dirty" like back in the day when a Newbe would call DOS Dous (HA).
