Enter Parameter value

I am having trouble with filtering a report by date. Users that select 'run daily report' are then promted for start and end dates. My problem is that once dates are entered, the 'Enter Parameter Value' box pops up. If you click ok, the report runs and filters properly. I've used a query as the report's record source. Is there a fix for this or a better way to filter the report. I've attached my work in progress, can someone please tell me what I am missing??
