Error 3022

Hi there

I am using a select query meanz no modification at all but still getting the error 3022(The changes you requested to the table were not successful because they would create duplicate values in the index, primary key, or relationship. (Error 3022))

Anybody have any clue?

Care to post the SQL for the query? I usually create a new empty mdb with Name AutoCorrect turned off and import everything from the old mdb and Compact and Repair when weird things start happening. It only take a few seconds.

SELECT [Articles].Date1, [Articles].Date, [Articles].[Article Name], [Articles].Publication, [Articles].Author, [Articles].[Full Text], [Articles].RecordId
FROM [Articles]
WHERE ((([ Articles].[Full Text]) Like "*'" & [Forms]![Search Screen]![Text94] & "'*" ))
ORDER BY [Articles].Date DESC , [Articles].[Article Name];


Even if i try to run the select query like

SELECT [Articles].Date1, [Articles].Date, [Articles].[Article Name], [Articles].Publication, [Articles].Author, [Articles].[Full Text], [Articles].RecordId
FROM [Articles]
WHERE ((([ Articles].[Full Text]) Like "*animal*" ))
I am not able to save the query. It gives me same error.


RecordID is primary key and autonumber.

Date is a reserved word. Try putting [brackets] around [date] and see if that helps. Here's some links to review:

I workd on this also but this is not the issue. I am not able to save the query. Query gives the results but when i save the query its gives error "error 3022"

And when i run the original query form form it gives error "Records Deleted"

Have you tried the "New mdb" approach I suggested? Have you rebooted your computer? Sometimes Access can get in a weird state and it takes a reboot to clear it.

how to create "new MDB" file? Sorry if its very basic question but i new to access world.

One more thing can you please tell me how do i enable right click option for a table i mean by right clicking i can view the properties .Presently i am not getting any of the tab on top like tool bar or anything only 4 tabs file,windows,help adode pdf. There is nothing i can do with this much How do i get all this. And the ADD Remove buttons option is also freezed.

When you have Access open, go to File>New...

Right click on the Main ToolBar to the right of the last menu item and select customize... and enable any menu you want.

You might start by holding down a shift key while you are opening the db to stop any code from running.
