error accessing .mbd from Internet

Have a link to a database (.mdb) file hanging off of the internet on a site. When I click the link to open the database, it give me an access error that says it is outside of the local intranet or not a trusted site. I hvae attached a screen shot.

That does not work. Added the ip as a trusted site, in the internet security properties, I set IE to access data sources across domains to enable. The directory on the server has read/write access opened up.
Running Windows server 2003 with office XP and Windows XP on the desktop.

You are trying to use a front end on your system and backend on the website?

Not for sure. Have the database setting there in a directory, and just have an html link to it. Just clicking on the link, clicking open to open the database.

You have do download the database to your hard drive.
