error message

Ok, I created a form based on table. The form has a combo box that drops down and lists my customers. I select the customer I want and attempt to move on to the next box and an error message appears:

"The field is too small to accept the amount of data you attempted to add. Try inserting or pasting less data."

The field size in my table is plenty large enough so I know that is not the problem. I am choosing the item from a combo box, how can this message be correct?

Any ideas?

Long distance diagnosis is hard to do on something like this, but it sounds like you are trying to enter data into a field that is too small to accept it. You say "The field size in my table is plenty large enough" but what field size are you referring to? You must be trying to enter data thru your combobox into a table other then the one your combobox is based on, rather than simply pulling up a record, otherwise you wouldn't need to "move on to the next box."

A little more explanation is needed, I think, of the overall thing you're trying to do.
