EXAMPLES needed please

Hi,

i would like to have a combobox and below it a table. I select a name and it brings up details for it below!

The details shown below must be editable!!!

has anyone got an example (or something similiar) that i can look at please?

Does it have to be a table
I would have tied this to a form and then edit to your hearts delight

this would mean a qry tied to your table and then afterupdate data fills uin the form and you edit

call your qry ABC

and your table echo1
echo1 would have say 6 fields in it
name
product
costs
location
notes
createdate

and your form would also have these fields on it then your combo bocx afterupdate
would have combobox47( change this to soemthing meaningful)
Name = combobox.colunm.(0)
product =combobox.colunm.(1)
etc

save and a re.query

you might need a save option this would be an amend-update qry which is basically this in reverse .

Have you looked at the Sample NorthWind db that comes with Access? There are several examples in there.

As I said, your sample shipped with Access. Go look at and study the NorthWind example.

i am using Access 2000, i dont think it has the NorthWind example!

You go to Help>Sample Databases...

My research showed that the Northwind sample came with ac2K too.
