I have a combo box in a form that lists out sales reps and several command buttons that are hidden. Depending on which sales rep is selected in the combo box I would like to display the command button that I have created for them. I'm sure it's easy - I just can't think of how to do it

G’day Ronda.

Just a question, or two, if I may.

What happens when a new sales rep joins the company?
Would you not have to create a new button on the form?

I’m reasonably sure we could come up with a more generic solution.

Maybe we need to look at just what the buttons do before we can give a reasonable answer.

Chris.

Answer: Yes, I would but this is where it gets complicated. The reason I have separate buttons for each sales rep is the code behind the button runs 4 or 5 queries and then exports them to an excel spreadsheet.
I would LOVE to use 1 button I just couldn't figure out how. Each sales rep has about 20 co#'s associated with them (example: 00424000) Within each company there could be specific divisions (00424001,00424002) and sometimes I have to consolidate all the divisions and sometimes I don't. So I ended up making a table for each sales rep.
I'll attach a screen shot of the table setup

Hopefully I didn't confuse you even more!!
Any suggestions are appreciated
Thanks!

G’day Ronda.

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner but have been doing something else.

The image was fine, but to me, meaningless. (Must be getting old… :( )

If a Sales rep requires many tasks to be performed then it immediately makes me think about a one (Sales ref) to many (Tasks) structure.

Given that setup, could not a query be run to create a recordset of tasks to be run on the press of a single button?

The name of the query or function could be placed in the table and either ‘run’ or ‘evaluated’ on recordset entry.

I think more info is required.

Regards,
Chris.
