Export a query (in pivot table view) to Excel

Does anyone know how to export a query in pivot table view to Excel. I know the "docmd.transferspreadsheet" which outputs the raw view but I would like to use the pivot table view I created. Thanks

If the query is saved as a crosstab query, you should be able to export it to Excel normally. Is it not saved as a crosstab query?

No it is not. I've thought about using a crosstab but I'm not sure how to solve one of my problems a pivot table would. In a pivot table if you have a date field, one of the options in to have it roll up to month. I have the pivot table all setup so it has 2008, the months I need in order, and the 2009 with the months in order. Is there a way to get this in a crosstab? Or is there a way to export the pivot table view?
