export query to multiple spreadsheets help

Hello all,

I'm new to this forum and hoping you can help with a delima. I have a simple DB that links two tables joined by a field called "Account_Number". I currently have a query that will export to a centrain directory on our network. the problem is there are roughly 150 different account numbers in this DB so exporting them one by one is cumbersome.

Is there a way to use a VBA script to export a new spreadhseet for each account number?

Sure, you could use vba to work through a recordset of account numbers for input into your query:

Then after each result use the docmd outputto command to save each file.

Doing it in vba also allows you to name each file to your own convention. i.e. accnumberyyyymmdd.xls
