How would I go about writing this if I wanted just the end of this statement DATABASE=\\nawemugufs10vb\RV92_RV82\ML43ML\IPMSD-CL-FY05-RAM-2004218.mdb
i.e all I want to show is IPMSD-CL-FY05-RAM-2004218.mdb in the text box.
The expression I have now in the control source is
=[Forms]![frm-Control-Panel]![DBPath]
which displays the whole statement. Would I use the dlookup or something.
Thanks

From this:

Code:
=[Forms]![frm-Control-Panel]![DBPath]

Try this:

Code:
=Right([Forms]![frm-Control-Panel]![DBPath],InStrRev([Forms]![frm-Control-Panel]![DBPath], "\", , vbTextCompare) + 1)

I tried this and it said "You may have entered a comma without a preceding value or identifier."
Thanks

I will try to look at this later since I can not download files at work, so for now in the expression above is there a comma missing or something. I dont know what is wrong.
