Expressions still on holiday

The main database is opened for another joyous year, but it doesn't want to wake up from its holiday. The expressions like, for instance

=DateAdd("d",-28,Date())

don't want to know about 2005. Is there a way to bring the lot back to life?

I just thru you expression into an unbound textbox and it displayed 12/7/2004

Bear in mind that 28 days ago was still 2004
