Extended property for list boxes (1 Viewer)

I have a list box on a form with the multi-select property set to extended. When I attempt to select an item in the middle of the list, it hightlights everything from the middle up to the top of the list. What am I doing wrong?

you are not holding down the mouse while you move down, are you? you do not have a shift key jammed down?

When you select the second or 3rd item to be highlighted are you holding shift or are you using the control key.
If you use the shift key to multi select then it will highlight up to that point.
If you use the ctrl key then it should do as you want.
Hope that i have understood your problem correctly.
