Has anyone used or encounted a program called Fashion Sense 2000? It is a front-end written in delphi that uses microsoft access as a back end (for the tables).
We currently have a client who are using this software and are having problems with record-locking. When using the system across a network they constantly get the error:
"The new record could not be created because it would have created duplicate values in the primary key/index."
This seems obvioulsy like a record-locking problem: if someone creates a purchase order and another person creates one at the same time they both automatically must be generating the same auto-number in the primary key field.
In the database options, record-locking is set to "no-locks" which would seem to be causing the problem.
The client have contacted the vendor of the software, but they have been no help, which is why we have been called in. I was wondering if anyone here has had any experience/exposure to this fashion sense program, and know much about it???
