Field Sum???

hi every1,

can sum one tell me is it possible to have the data in one field to be determined by the values of 2 other fields.
i need one field to show a Value, of 2 other fields Multiplied (X) together. for example the value in field A is 2, the value in field B is 3, therefor the value in field C will display 6.

please help!

You shouldn't be storing calculated values in a table.

Using a query can provide you with the results you want.

i.e create new field

NewField: [FieldA] * [FieldB]

This value can also be calculated on a form or a report, if need be.

NEVER in a table.

yeah it works, ill just have to sort out some sort of report to display it and ill be sorted, again THANX! !
