Hi every one,, I've created a form containing 26 combo boxes for selecting laboratory tests required for the patient "frm_lab", and a report bounded to this form "rpt_lab" for printing purposes, most of times I only fill about 9 or 10 fields and the others stay empty, for some reason these fields shouldn't be printed empty ( so not to be filled by hand), I want the empty fields in printed report to be filled with "xxxxxx" or "------------" for example or even to be not visible, only I want to do this in printed report not in the form , so I imagin this could be done in the on load event of the report before printing directly, I've tried " If me. cbo_test.value = "" or null then me. cbo_test.value = "xxxxxxx" and something like that in the on load event of report but I've got nothing.

I use acNormal for opening report from the form for printing report immediately, I appreciate your help.

In the Format property of the control cbo_test in the report insert:

@;"xxxxxxx"

I'll give this a try, thank you for your fast response.
