Hello,
So I have a form that shows the member's information; and there's a tab for if the current member is a deacon. If he is a deacon, this tab will become available (which I was able to get set up, for the most part) and show all the families assigned to that deacon. The sub report does show all the families assigned to a deacon, but it doesn't show the correct deacon. Each deacon is also assigned a deacon, so the subreport shows the assigned deacon's family, not the current shown deacon.
Ex:
I'm looking at Deacon Smith, and Deacon Roger is his deacon. The sub report shows Deacon Roger's families, not Deacon Smith's.
What I'm looking for help with is how can I select the current member is a deacon, then have either a pop up asking what what his Deacon ID is and then show the deacon's families. I had it set up with a drop down (which is a query/table field) above the sup-report, but it won't let me change the drop down. Or if it could automatically take the member's EnvNum and match it to the EnvNum in the Deacon table to get the deacon id and then filter, that would work too.
Basically I just want to be able to filter the families based on the deacon I'm looking at.
Let me know if you need more info or more clarity. Thanks in advance!
