Filters and Record Locks

I have a Database on a network with 5 computers. If a person filters a form to show only Part 200 record then if another person trys to enter data that is for Part 350 they cant because the records are filtered. Is this just a standard thing because of the filtering taking place?

You need to split the database into front and back end to allow different filter sets on different PC's. Search help for spiltting a database.

It is split. All the users use a local copy of the database thats linked to the backend on a Server.
