I have a report, which is based on a query. I don't know how to 'find' a particular record. I have to do it the hard way, by going into the query, finding it, then back to the record to find it so I can print it. I have a lot of records in this report, needless to say it is very time consuming doing it this way.

I know you all have a better way, please help!!
THANKS

On your form you can create a combo box using the Wizard. On the Wizards first screen select the third item, "Find a record...". Finish the Wizard. Now you can start typing into the combo box and the record will be found and will show in your form.

Add a command button to your form with code similar to this in the On Click event:

DoCmd.OpenReport "ReportNameHere", , ,"[ID] = " & Me.[ID]

Replace the ID in the first [ID] with the name of the field in your table or query that has the name of the records unique identifier. Replace the second ID with the name of the field on your form with that has the unique identifier...

hth,
Jack
