I need some help writing a macro that will close one form and open a different form on the same record.

Open the form you wish to open ensuring that there is a filter on the current form's recordsource by filtering on it's primary key and then close the calling form.

I am using something similar but I do not close the 1st form, rather, I have the 2nd form pop up similar to a web browser pop-up.

Mine is to lookup contact information....

on my form, I have a drop down of companies - the data comes from a companydata table. From there, I have a button at the end of the drop down (I used an address book icon) that opens a companydata form with a property set to go directly to the record that matches the selection in the drop-down list.

My companydata form is a smaller pop-up type form that lists full company name, address, points of contact, tel #, and e-mail.
