FK field change from description to ID

Hi

When i set up relationship for two tables by using lookup wizard, i chose to view the description instead of ID. It was successfully done. However, when i open the table today, the FK field becomes ID and its data type changed from text to number. Anyone has any idea of this changes?

Maybe you did not save the table?

I presume you are talking about creating a lookup field in you table. There are many reasons for not using lookup fields, http://access.mvps.org/access/lookupfields.htm .

I am looking for an alternative for creating a relationship from lookup wizard without success.

I will be grateful if you can provide me with a link where different approach on creating relationship is available.
