I know that I am missing a very small component. I have created a form from 2 tables. The second table (basically a list of stuff) is created with a combo box. That part works fine, however, everytime a change the combo box it changes every record. What am I mssing?
Thanks.

It's a little bit hard to say given the paucity of information you've provided.

Could you perhaps explain a little more on what you are trying to achieve and how you are trying to do it. A sample of your DB would also be more than helpful :)

Attached is my initial test database. I am creating a database of our volunteers at the hospital. They are currently using Filemaker and I am planning on transferring all of the data over to Access. On the Personnel Data form, I have added Services, these are the volunteer options of where they can work and they can choose up to 5 different services. I put the drop down option on the form, but it does not change with each new record. Seems like a simple properties or relationship issue. I've tried every relationship and looked at all of the properties and I'm stuck.
Thanks for your help.

I think you could solve this problem by linking the two tables together. You need to define a foreign key for the services ID in the personnel table. You would then have a many to one link between the two tables and as you add records to the personnel table the foreign key would link the elements from the services table directly to the line item in the personnel table. I might also suggest that when you set this up, you define the selection as a multiselect item, that way you don't have to have 5 different fields on the personnel form. You will get a check box next to each item and multiple items will be entered in the one combo field.

This is still not working. I established a link between the Personnel Data and the Services table, and I tried all three relationships. They are still the same in each record. There are 62 different types of services, so I don't see how a check box would work. Suggestions?

A Control showing the same Value for all records means that it is Unbound. Bind the Combobox to a Field in the underlying Table and the problem will resolve itself.

ALMOST GOT IT!!! The boxes now are different for each person, however, all 5 boxes say the same thing. I bound them all to Services ID. Each person has the option to work in up to 5 services. Suggestions on how to be able to pick up to 5 different services?
