Like so many of us here, I have reach a point where my imagination goes beyond my access skills, so I'm asking for a little help from any of those wiser than myself and who are kind enought to give it.

In the database I have created, I have two main tables; one table stores general data concerning audit reports(report #, date, company name etc..); one table stores specific data about the audit reports mainly the audit issues in the report. They are linked by the report #.

The form (or maybe report???) I have been trying to create is such that I can selected from a list (combo box) of all audit reports an audit report and all issues for that audit report are displayed.

I have tried doing this with sub-forms but it doesn't seem to work. When I select an audit report, the issues list (the sub-form) does not update. I am linking by sub-form to my main form using the audit report number.

Any Ideas.

Hi,
I think I understand what you are trying to do. In the drop down combo box are you selecting audit reports by the audit report number, or some other field e.g. report name? What is happening in your subform at the moment, is it simply blank or does it diplay all audit issues instead of the relevan one?

This for your reply. The ansywer to your questions are my combo box is selecteding by audit report # and my subform is showing all audit issues.

I think I figured out that it has something to do with the way I have linked by combo box to my sub-form.
