OK folks - the last time I posted Paul was extremely helpful and I am hoping to get help again. OK I have a form comprised of 7 forms - when I call it up it displays as it should. However when I try and print it via Print Preview only 3 forms show up and I can't figure out why? Help meeeeeeeee

I think most of us would suggesting printing/previewing a report rather than a form. You have a lot more control over the format, records displayed, etc.

Oh, and if you highlight a form in the navigation pane and select File/Save As/Save Object As you can convert a form to a report (more accurately, create a copy of it as a report). It will probably need tweaking, but should be a big head start.

Paul,
Thanks again my friend - I will take your suggestions to heart and apply. Will let you know the outcome

Paul,

I gave it a go but the report still does the same thing that print preview does, the same 3 forms are showing up that show in print preview. I attached a zip file for reference

I think it's just because the subforms/reports have no data. If I enter something in each, they all appear (I think, since I'm not familiar with the whole).

Paul,

Very Strange but you of course are correct, for some reason it did not like no data so when I put false data in it displayed in print preview as well as report. Seems like one should be able to create a blank form but I guess not. Now have an annoying problem of the number of pages printed for the report. I created a custom margin that has .12 for the left and right margins and all the forms/reports are at 8.25 width yet when I try to adjust the width for the header/footer it won't go to 8.25 - automatically goes to 8.333333 - I don't get that??? How can I adjust so that there is only 1 page shown instead of 4???

OK Paul got it to work by adjusting the margin sizes and form sizes to allow for the header and footers - wow. However your direction was again perfect!

Glad you got it sorted out Jim (I've been at lunch). I guess the theory is that you wouldn't want to view an empty subreport, so they don't show it.

I should add that there are ways of forcing something to show. You can test for an empty subreport and display "No roofing" or whatever, or you could force an empty record into the subreport.
